Erection of a rear extension at second floor level, over part of the first floor back addition; erection of a rear extension at first floor level, to the side of existing back addition; replacement of an existing dormer window with a new enlarged dormer window to the rear roofslope; replacement of front elevation windows.
The proposed first and second floor extensions are considered to be unacceptable on visual amenity grounds. More particularly, cumulatively the proposed extensions by reason of their scale, massing and design that are highly visible in a prominent corner location, would represent a visually over dominant and discordant feature which would be out of keeping with the architectural character of the application property, failing to remain subservient to the parent building. in this respect, the proposal would be contrary to Policies DC1, DC4 and DC8 of the Local Plan 2018.
