Why it was refused
Reason 1
Because of the replacement of the existing doors with a rolling shutter the proposals would harm the special interest of this grade II listed building and the appearance of this part of the city. This would not meet Policies 38, 39 and 40 of the City Plan 2019 - 2040 (January 2026) and the advice set out in our Supplementary Planning Guidance: Repairs and Alterations to Listed Buildings.
