Reason 1
Because of their detailed design the shopfront alterations would harm the appearance of this building and this part of the City. This would not meet Policy 42 and 45 of the City Plan 2019 - 2040 (January 2026). They would also fail to maintain or improve (preserve on enhance) the setting and of the Portman Estate and Mayfair conservation areas which is contrary to policy 44 of City Plan 2019 - 2040 (January 2026).
