Removal of Condition 20 of planning permission dated 01.04.2021(RN: 20/06164/FULL which in itself varied earlier permissions, 18/10420/FULL; 18/01721/FULL; 15/08352/FULL for the Demolition of existing building and erection of a new six storey, plus basement building with frontages to Wellington Road and Cochrane Street to provide 36 units for a dual/ alternative use as residential flats (Class C3) or serviced apartments (Sui Generis), with car and cycle parking at basement level and new landscaping. Namely, to omit the green/ brown roofs and enhance landscaping at ground level.
It is has not been sufficiently demonstrated that a green and/ or brown roof can not be accommodated at roof level of this redevelopment and therefore the loss of the requirement to provide a green and or brown sedum roof would be contrary to Policy 34 of the City Plan 2019 - 2040 (April 2021).
