Why it was refused
Reason 1

The proposed extensions, by reason of their design, scale, height and massing would result in an overbearing and visually dominant form of development that fails to appear subordinate to the host dwelling. The cumulative impact of the additions would be out of character with the established roofscape and would harm the appearance of the street scene. The proposed development is therefore contrary to policies LP1 and LP5 of the Wandsworth Local Plan (2023) and Housing SPD (2016). In dealing with this application the Council has implemented the requirement in the National Planning Policy Framework to make available detailed advice in the form of our statutory policies in the Local Plan as well as offering a full pre application advice service.
