The proposed upward extension of the bay window and fenestration alterations, by reason of thier detailed design and large expanse of glazing and lack of window glazing bars would be a visually obtrusive feature that would be out of keeping with the site and character and appearance of the streetscene. As such the proposal is contrary to Policy 28 of the Sutton Local Plan 2018 and the advice in Supplementary Planning Document 4: The Design of Residential Extensions and Supplementary Planning Document 14 'Creating Locally Distinctive Places'
