Reasons for Refusal . The proposed extension by virtue of its excessive length and height along the boundary with the adjacent property would result in the creation of a 1 'tunnelling effect', sense of enclosure and reduction in available sunlight and daylight that would be to the detriment of the visual and residential amenity of the adjacent dwelling. As such the proposed development is contrary to Policy P56 (Protection of amenity) of the Southwark Plan 2022.
