The proposed removal of the chimney stack would cause harm to the roofscape of the revelant dwelling and wider Holly Grove Conservation Area. The proposal would cause less than substantial harm but is not justified by any public benefit and is therefore non-compliant with Policies 1 P13 Design of places, P14 Design quality, P20 Conservation areas and P21 Conservation of the historic environment and natural heritage of the Southwark Plan 2022, as well as Policy HC1 Heritage Conservation and Growth of the London Plan 2021.
