Application for Permission in Principle submitted under the Town and Country Planning (Permission in Principle) Order 2017 for: Demolition of existing buildings to provide a proposed four storey building to include a minimum net number of 4 and maximum net number of 9 residential dwellings (Use Class C3)
for the following reason(s): Reason The amount of development proposed is considered excessive and incompatible with local context, notwithstanding the site’s sustainable location. The development would fail to integrate successfully with its surroundings and would result in unacceptable harm to local character and appearance. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies SP1, SP3 and H1 of the Newham Local Plan (2018), and London Plan Policies D3, D4 and D6, which collectively require development to respond positively to context, provide high-quality accommodation, and ensure appropriate scale, massing, and housing mix.
