Construction of a dormer roof extension on the rear roof slope of the first floor flat, 65 Laleham Road, SE6.
The proposed rear roof extension due to its lack of set backs from the existing roof ridgeline and No. 63 Laleham Road in addition to its use of poor quality materials, would result in an insensitive and overly dominant addition to the rear roof slope that would fail to respect or complement the host building contrary to contrary to CS Policy 15 High Quality Design for Lewisham of the adopted Core Strategy (2011), DM Policy 30 Urban Design and Local Character and DM Policy 31 Alterations and Extensions to Existing Buildings including Residential Extensions of the Development Management Local Plan (2014) and The Alterations and Extensions SPD (2019).
