The proposed L shaped rear dormer, by reason of its excessive scale, bulk and form extending across both rear roof slopes, would result in a visually intrusive and overly dominant addition that fails to remain subordinate to the host building. The development would erode the legibility of the original roof form and cause harm to the character and appearance of the host property and the surrounding roofscape. The proposal is thereby contrary to the Lambeth Design Guide (2023) and policies Q5 and Q11 of the Lambeth Local Plan (2021).
