Creation of a rear roof terrace with glass balustrade on the existing rear extension, together with the construction of external access stairs and installation of two roof lights.
The proposed roof terrace including associated balustrade and external staircase would give rise to an uncharacteristic and incongruous feature within the row of terraced houses, which make a positive contribution to the Rectory Grove Conservation Area. The proposal would result in a low level of less than substantial harm and thereby fail to preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Rectory Grove Conservation Area, contrary to Policies Q5, Q11, and Q22 of the Lambeth Local Plan (2021).
