The proposed side roof extension by reason of its siting, design, excessive scale, form and bulk would result in an overly dominant and incongruous feature, detrimental to the architectural merits of the host property and existing terrace and would result in harm to the character and appearance of the host property and wider area. The inappropriate design and prominence are exacerbated when considered individually and together with the existing side roof extension.
