Erection of rear mansard roof extension, a mansard roof extension over existing rear outrigger. A new pointed roof to front bay window and installation of 3 rooflights to the front slope and 1 rooflight to the new flat roof.
By reason of design,bulk and massing, the L-shaped mansard extension and introduction of a dormer window to the side elevation would fail to remain subservient or to respect the character of the host buildingand wider context. Additionally, raising the ridge height would fail to respect the design of the subject site and no 30 Perran Road, which are intended to read as a pair. The development in the manner proposed is therefore contrary to policies Q5 and Q11 of the Lambeth Local Plan 2021 and the Design Guide SPD (2023).
