By reason of its design, bulk and siting, the proposed rear dormer addition would fail to appear subordinate to the rear roofslope, thereby harming the overall appearance of the existing building and failing to respond to the original architecture of the host building, and the local distinctiveness of the group to which it belongs. The proposal would therefore fail to comply with Policies Q5, and Q11 of the Lambeth Local Plan (2021) and the Lambeth Design Guide SPD (2020).
