Internal reconfiguration of the ground floor with kitchen to the front, including the removal of non-original internal partitions and chimney breast, installation of a glass sliding door between living room/kitchen and new door to staircase.
The proposed removal of an internal chimney breast and chimney piece at the upper ground floor would unacceptably erode the historic architectural features and the historic layout of the building thereby failing to preserve or enhance the special interest of this Grade II Listed Building. The proposal would result in a moderate degree of less than substantial harm but would delivers no public benefit to outweigh the harm identified. As such the proposal is contrary to Policy Q20 of the Lambeth Local Plan (2021) and the National Planning Policy Framework (2023).
