The proposal by reason of its size, design and position would result in an incongruous and incompatible form of development which would fail to respect the character and appearance of the subject property and the terrace it forms part of. As such, would therefore be contrary to policies LP1 (Design Quality and Local Character) of Hackney's LP33 and policies D3 (Optimising site capacity through the design-led approach) and D4 (Delivering good design) of the London Plan and Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD 2009.
