Erection of a single storey rear extension at lower ground level with alterations to existing fenestrations of rear elevation and erection of a single storey side extension within the existing building footprint including new window to Bouverie Road and blind window to rear.
The proposed first floor side infill extension, by reason of its bulk, scale, siting and detailed design, would result in an incompatible form of development which would fail to respect the character and appearance of the subject property and terrace within which is it located. As such, the proposal is contrary to policies D1 (London’s form, character and capacity for growth), D3 (Optimising site capacity through the design led approach), and D4 (Delivering good design) of the the London Plan (2021), policy LP1 (Design quality and local character) of the Hackney Local Plan (2020) and the guidance contained with the Hackney Residential Extensions and Alterations Supplementary Planning Document (2009).
