The proposed dormer roof extension, by reason of its size, positioning, and detailed design, is an overly large and dominant extension that fails to be sufficiently set down from the ridge and up from the eaves and by reason of its proportions is not considered to be good design. The proposal is therefore contrary to LP1 Design quality and local character of Hackney's Local Plan 2033 2020 and The London Plan policy D4 Delivering good design and Hackney's Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD 2009.
