Demolition of 2x dwelling houses and change of use from residential garden ground (C3) to cemetery use (Sui Generis) to provide additional burial space (Part-retrospective).
The proposed development would result in the unjustified loss of two self-contained dwellinghouses, with no replacement residential accommodation proposed, in a context where the local planning authority is unable to demonstrate a five-year supply of deliverable housing sites. The development would fail to safeguard existing residential accommodation and optimise housing delivery. The proposal is therefore contrary to the NPPF (2024), Policy H1 and Policy H8 of the London Plan (2021), and DMD Policy 4 of Enfield Development Management Document (2014).
