This outcome undermines the Council's strategic objective to increase the supply of larger (3+ bedroom) units, which are essential to meeting the housing needs of families. The proposal is therefore contrary to Section 5 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2024), Policy GG4 of the London Plan (2021), Policy CP5 of the Core Strategy (2010), Policies DMD4 and DMD5 of the Development Management Document (2014), and the Council's Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA 2015).
