The proposed first-floor extension by virtue of its design, scale, siting, and projection would represent an awkward and incongruous addition which would fail to relate to the surrounding character, form and pattern of development. Furthermore, the proposals would create an awkward juxtaposition of roof forms and poor relationship to the original outrigger to the rear elevation, which are highly visible from the prominent corner junction location, detrimental to the visual amenities of the area. The proposals are thereby contrary to policies DMD6, DMD8, DMD11 and DMD37 of the Development Management Document and CP30 of the Core Strategy and D4 of the London Plan.
