Retrospective application for the erection of entrance gates and post and chain perimeter fencing, association alterations
The entrance gates, posts and chain perimeter fencing would harm the open character of the Metropolitan Green Belt, and no very special circumstances have been demonstrated to outweigh the harm that would be caused. The proposal therefore conflicts with Chapter 13 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2019), Policies SP7 and DM26 of the Croydon Local Plan (2018) and Policy 7.16 of the London Plan 2016 (consolidated with amendments since 2011).
The entrance gates, posts and chain perimeter fencing would cause harm to the listed building and its setting and would not preserve or enhance the character or appearance of the Addington Village Conservation Area, by reason of location and design and would thereby conflicts with Chapter 16 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2019), Policies SP4, DM10 and DM18 of the Croydon Local Plan (2018), Policies 7.4, 7.5, 7.6 and 7.8 of the London Plan 2016 (consolidated with alterations since 2011) and the Addington Village Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan (2020).
