Prior approval for proposed telecommunications installation comprising removal of 1no. existing 10-metre-high streetwork pole with 1no. existing trisector antenna and 1no. existing equipment cabinet to be replaced with 1no. new 20-metre-high phase 8 streetwork pole with wraparound cabinet to accommodate 3no. new antennas and 1no new trisector antenna with 1no. new equipment cabinet and associated ancillary development thereto on foot path outside 231 Watford Road, Harrow, HA1 3TU
The proposed telecommunications equipment, by virtue of its design, siting and excessive height, would result in a visually incongruous and overly dominant form of development, detrimental to the visual amenities, character and appearance of the streetscene and Sudbury Court Conservation Area. It would also have an unacceptable impact on highway safety. Prior Approval is therefore required and refused having regard to Part 16 of the Town and Country (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015, as amended.
