64 Chevening Road, London, NW6 6DE
Proposed alterations to front boundary wall and landscaping and new drop kerb to front of dwellinghouse
The shallow depth of the proposed driveway would lead to cars unlawfully overhanging the footway of Chevening Road. To the detriment of the free and safe movement of pedestrians along the street, harming highway safety and contrary to Policy DMP1 and BT2 of Parking Policy of Brent Local Plan 2019 to 2041 and guidance set out in Brent’s Domestic Vehicle Footway Crossover Policy 2018.
The proposed vehicular access and front garden design would result in the loss of a historic boundary wall that presently provides a clear sense of enclosure and curtilage and contributes positively to the setting of the host building. The development does not comply with the provisions of the Queen’s Park Conservation Area Design Guide (2013) and policy BHC1 Brents Heritage Assets of Brent’s Local Plan 2019 to 2041.
