Scheme description
Erection of a front boundary wall with associated piers, railings and gates
Why it was refused
Reason 1
The proposed front boundary wall with railings and access gates with associated brick piers would by reason of their size, height, design and prominent siting and appearance, result in an incongruous, overly prominent and visually obtrusive addition to the host site detracting from the open character and appearance of this part of Totteridge Village and the wider Totteridge conservation area, detrimental to the host site, street scene and the surrounding area, contrary to policies D1, D4, D5 and HC1of The London Plan (2021) and policies CDH01, CDH05 and CDH08 of the adopted local plan (2025).
