The proposed porch extension, by reason of its size and siting, would fail to respect the established pattern of development and the context provided by the streetscape and wider neighbourhood, resulting in a visually incongruous and unsympathetic form of development, which would adversely impact the character and appearance of the property and this part of the streetscene, contrary to Policy D3 of the London Plan (2021), Policies CS1 and CS5 of the LB Barnet: Local Plan (Core Strategy) DPD (2012); Policy DM01 of the LB Barnet: Local Plan (Development Management Policies) DPD (2012) and the LB Barnet: Residential Design Guidance SPD (2016).
