The proposed first floor rear extension and roof extensions, by reason of their size, siting, bulk and design would cumulatively result in visually obtrusive, top heavy, insubordinate and incongruous additions that would relate unsympathetically to the host building and unbalance the pair of semi-detached dwellings detrimental to the character and appearance of the host property, pair of semi-detached properties and the surrounding area contrary to Policy D3 of the London Plan (2021), policies CS1 and CS5 of the Barnet Core Strategy (2012), policy DM01 of the Barnet Development Management Polices (2012) and the guidance contained within the Barnet Residential Design Guidance Supplementary Planning Document (2016).
