The proposed roof extension, by reason of its scale, siting, bulk and mass would be a disproportionate addition to the roof, would unbalance the pair of semi-detached properties the host site forms a part of, resulting in an overbearing and incongruous built form which would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the semi- detached pair, this part of the streetscene and the wider locality. The development proposed is therefore contrary to Policy D3 of the London Plan (2021), Policy CS5 of the Local Plan Core Strategy (adopted September 2012), Policy DM01 of the Development Management Policies DPD (adopted September 2012) and the Residential Design Guidance SPD (adopted April 2016).
