The proposed development, by reason of its design, scale and siting, would result in a disproportionate addition that would fail to appear subordinate to the host dwelling. The development would exacerbate the already bulky and unbalanced appearance of the dwelling and further imbalance the semi-detached pair. The proposal would cause harm to the character and appearance of the host dwelling and wider street scene.
